Little Angels Pre-school      

Firstly welcome to our Website, I'm Elaine Milsom-Waters, more commonly known as 'Lainey', and I am the Manageress / Proprietor of Little Angels Pre-school in Newhall, Swadlincote.

I have worked in childcare for sixteen years, setting up my first playgroup up in Radcliffe, Manchester. I trained at Bury College and gained my NVQ3 Diploma along with lots of experience working in one of the local schools as a Teaching assistant. I have worked with children from two and a half up to eleven years old, helping with behavioural problems, learning difficulties and special needs.

After moving down here to be with my family, Little Angels Pre-school was opened in 2001 after I had experienced working in two other local settings, who were kind enough to employ me, but I longed to run my own setting. A girl called Jackie and I set up running from the now derelict Parochial Hall. One year later my niece joined me as a partner, leaving to have her third child some time later.

In September 2007 Little Angels relocated to The Old Post Centre where within a year and a half the setting has thrived. Due to the commitment of the staff and The Old Posts decision to want us to stay they have accommodated us in so many ways.

I speak for the staff and myself when I say that to work with children needs a lot of patience and commitment, and we all dedicate time out of the settings opening hours to do ongoing training, planning and doing children�s assessments. I am very privileged to work with such a good team.

As you browse the Little Angels Pre-School website you will see that we are Ofsted registered and our capacity is 24 children per session. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage standards for learning, development and care for the children from birth to five. This is a document produced by the government that must be adhered to.
